Senior/Principal Associate at Mills & Reeve

The role

Mills & Reeve is seeking a Senior/Principal Associate with 6+ years of PQE in Real Estate Disputes litigation to join their team in Birmingham, Cambridge, or Norwich. This role involves advising clients on a variety of property advisory and litigation matters, managing a caseload, and supporting partners.

What you'll do

Advise clients on preventing and resolving disputes
Handle matters through to settlement or trial
Manage your own caseload
Supervise junior lawyers
Support partners on larger matters
Contribute to business development, marketing and seminar activities

What we're looking for

6+ years PQE

Broad spread of hands-on real estate disputes experience

Experience of tribunal and court work

Good academics

Excellent writing style and ability to produce clear, logical drafting

Excellent technical analysis

Attention to detail

Excellent time and paper management skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness to learn and build up a wide range of experience

Commitment to and interest in real estate disputes

High level of analytical and forensic/litigation skills

Pragmatic approach to problem solving

Ability to create a good impression with clients

Ability to work with other fee earners

Experience across a broad range of property disputes is desirable· nice to have

Opportunities to develop specialist expertise within the team· nice to have

Desire to market, to build new and strengthen existing client and agent relationships· nice to have

Active participant in business development initiatives· nice to have
