Indemnity/Coverage Associate (GI, Melbourne) at Hall & Wilcox

The role

Hall & Wilcox is seeking an experienced Indemnity/Coverage Associate with 3+ years of PQE to join their General Insurance practice in Melbourne. This role will focus on property damage liability claims, recoveries, and indemnity/coverage disputes.

What you'll do

Reviewing of documents and preparation of evidence
Drafting correspondence to the Court and third parties
Conferencing with witnesses and preparing witness statements
Preparing briefs for counsel
Drafting Court documents and attending Court
Drafting client advices
Drafting letters of instruction to experts

What we're looking for

3+ years of post-admission experience in insurance law

Experience in providing indemnity and coverage advice to a range of insurers

Experience in managing and running litigation end-to-end through the Courts

Clear, concise legal writing and drafting skills

Strong attention to detail

A team-orientated approach to working

Experience in large loss property recovery/liability work will be well regarded· nice to have
