The role
MinterEllison is seeking a Lawyer or Associate with 1-3 years of PQE to join their Health, Aged Care & Human Services team. This role will be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane, focusing on regulatory, governance, risk, and dispute matters within the health and human services sectors.
What you'll do
- Provide regulatory, governance and policy advice
- Advise on administrative law and statutory interpretation
- Advise on aged care, disability and human services regulation
- Manage incidents, complaints and regulator interactions
- Handle inquiries, investigations, inquests and disputes
- Advise on privacy, access to records and risk management
- Draft and review aged care and service agreements
- Work on transactional and structuring matters alongside corporate and financial services teams
What we're looking for
1-3 years of post-admission experience, ideally in health, aged care, disability or a related regulatory practice
Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
Experience advising on regulatory and administrative law matters
Litigation, advocacy or dispute resolution experience
A commercial, pragmatic and solution-focused approach
Strong relationship-building skills and a client-centric mindset
A collaborative approach and ability to thrive in a high-performing team environment
A genuine interest in the health, aged care and disability sectors
