The role
Winston Taylor is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Complex Commercial Litigation practice in Miami. The role is for attorneys with 3+ years of experience in general litigation.
What you'll do
- Coordinate matters in Florida State and Federal courts through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, expert development, and trial
- Manage all aspects of discovery in large, high-stakes cases
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and argue motions
What we're looking for
3+ years of broad based, general litigation experience in a top-tier law firm or as a Federal Court judicial clerk
Strong writing, research, and case management skills
Experience coordinating matters in Florida State and Federal courts through all phases of litigation
Experience managing all aspects of discovery in large, high-stakes cases
Experience taking and defending depositions
Experience drafting and arguing motions
Excellent academic credentials
Strong organization, analytical, writing, and verbal skills
Professional working proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
Admitted to the Florida State Bar
