The role
Baker McKenzie is seeking a Junior-Level Tax Controversy Associate for their Tax Practice in San Francisco/Palo Alto. This role is for a lawyer with 1-2 years of experience interested in resolving tax disputes with U.S. tax authorities.
What you'll do
- Resolve tax controversies with U.S. tax authorities
- Handle tax controversies at the audit or administrative appeals stages
- Litigate tax controversies before the courts where necessary or beneficial
What we're looking for
1-2 years of relevant experience in tax controversy
Interest in resolving tax disputes
Strong analytical and writing skills
Exceptional speaking and interpersonal skills
Ability to function smoothly in a global-team environment with culturally diverse team members
Admission to and membership in good standing of the California Bar
A Masters in Tax Law· nice to have
