Associate - Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure

The role

DWF is seeking a skilled Real Estate lawyer with 3+ years of PQE to join its Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure team in Newcastle. This role focuses on advising clients within the utilities and infrastructure sectors, particularly on property-related legal matters for major energy and utility clients.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate property agreements including leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and land acquisition documents
• Advise on land rights and title issues, including conducting due diligence and resolving title defects
• Manage land access and property rights for infrastructure development and maintenance
• Support land assembly for utility projects (e.g. grid upgrades, pipeline installations)
• Negotiate and secure access or third party rights and consents
• Advise on infrastructure agreements and land access strategies for energy projects
• Undertake related legal project management to support the delivery of legal services to project mandates
