The role
DWF Law LLP is seeking an Associate or Solicitor for their Major Injury & Casualty team in Scotland. This role is for individuals with at least 2 years of PQE, or NQ solicitors with relevant experience, to manage and progress litigated Personal Injury and EL/PL claims, including high-value complex cases.
What you'll do
- Manage and progress a caseload efficiently and proactively
- Handle litigated Personal Injury and EL/PL claims in the Court of Session and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Sheriff Court, under supervision
- Apply strong technical knowledge of litigation, case law and legal principles
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients
- Ensure delivery against SLAs and best practice standards
- Support and take ownership on complex, high-value cases
- Continuously develop technical and commercial expertise
- Coach, mentor and develop more junior members of the team
What we're looking for

Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following area's - Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, RTA, Casualty, Abuse, Disease, Personal Injury, Serious Injury and Catastrophic Injury· nice to have
Experience of acting for Defenders, including litigation experience· nice to have
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills· nice to have
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written· nice to have
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure· nice to have
