Senior Associate/Associate Healthcare - (NHS Resolution)

The role

This hybrid role is for an experienced Senior Associate or Associate with expertise in Clinical Negligence to join the Healthcare Team, representing NHS Resolution. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, lead on group litigation, and provide high-quality legal advice and representation. The firm is open to considering candidates based near Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Southampton, or Newcastle.

What you'll do

• Manage a varied caseload of high value Defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution
• Provide expert legal advice on clinical negligence claims, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
• Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Identify opportunities for Business Development with NHS Resolution and Trust clients
• Assist with Trust client care matters as required
