Solicitor / Associate - Health Law & Medical Negligence (Defendant)

The role

Wotton Kearney is seeking a Solicitor or Associate with 1+ years of experience in health law to join their Sydney team. This role focuses on defendant medical negligence and health law, offering early specialisation and exposure to contentious and advisory matters, including regulatory work and litigation for medical defence organisations and their insured practitioners.

What you'll do

• Assist, advise and act for health practitioners in regulatory proceedings brought by the relevant boards and tribunals
• Manage and assist with the defence of litigated claims involving allegations of clinical negligence
• Assist health practitioners in the preparation of coronial statements
• Advise and resolve billing disputes on behalf of health practitioners
• Manage claim files on behalf of multiple medical defence organisations and insurer clients
