The role
Sparke Helmore is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel for their Health Law team in Melbourne. This role focuses on medical malpractice defence for doctors, hospitals, and allied health professionals, acting for medical defence organisations, insurers, and practitioners. The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience.
What you'll do
- Defend medical negligence claims
- Assist with disciplinary proceedings
- Assist with Coronials
- Assist with litigated claims
- Mentor junior team members
- Play a key role in business development
What we're looking for
At least 5 years' experience gained in a well-regarded defendant insurance practice
Prior medical negligence experience is essential
