The role
Weightmans is seeking an Inquest solicitor with 2-10 PQE to join their Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team, primarily focusing on managing a caseload of inquest files for NHS clients and other organisations, with potential involvement in broader healthcare advisory work.
What you'll do
- Manage a case load of files
- Attend Inquest hearings at court, including travel
- Advocacy at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests
- Meetings with clients and witnesses in preparation for court hearings
- Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values
What we're looking for
Qualified solicitor
2-10 PQE
Advocacy experience
A willingness to develop advocacy skills
Inquest experience
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent collaborative and team working skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent IT skills
Ability to work to deadlines and targets
