The role
Weightmans is seeking a Costs Lawyer with 2+ years of experience to join their Litigation practice group. This role will focus on handling complex costs matters across commercial and personal injury litigation, with opportunities based in Birmingham, Liverpool, or Manchester.

What we're looking for
2+ years of experience as a Costs Lawyer or studying towards qualification
Previous experience in both Defendant and Claimant work
Experience in advocacy
Experience in drafting costs budgets
Experience in drafting bills of costs
Experience in drafting Points of Dispute and Replies
Experience in negotiating settlements
Experience in drafting Schedules of Costs
Experience handling high-value matters in personal injury litigation
Experience handling high-value matters in commercial litigation
Ability to prioritise workload effectively
Ability to work well within a team
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
