The role
Mills & Reeve is seeking an experienced Principal Associate to join its London Insurance Disputes team. This senior role requires 8+ years of PQE and involves advising on complex, often international insurance coverage and liability defence matters for leading market insurers and reinsurers.
What you'll do
- Advise on a broad range of insurance coverage and liability defence matters
- Manage matters day-to-day
- Supervise junior lawyers
- Contribute actively to client development
- Work with partners across areas including D&O and financial lines, cyber and technology risks, credit and political risk, political violence, property damage, reinsurance, fraud, professional indemnity, and specialty lines
What we're looking for
8+ years' PQE or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of the London insurance market, including Lloyd's and subscription risks
Confident advising on policy interpretation, coverage disputes, liability defence (including professional indemnity), subrogation and dispute resolution strategy
