Senior Associate at HFW

The role

HFW is seeking a Senior Associate for its Insurance practice in London. This role requires 4-6 years of PQE and focuses on providing corporate, commercial, and regulatory legal expertise within the insurance and reinsurance sector, with a particular emphasis on the Lloyd's and London markets.

What you'll do

Provide corporate, commercial and regulatory insurance legal expertise with a focus on Lloyd’s, London market and non-life insurance and reinsurance
Act for a wide variety of clients from multinationals to start-ups, across (re)insurers, intermediaries and investors
Undertake transactional, commercial and advisory work, both domestic and international

What we're looking for

4-6 years' PQE

Currently operating as a mid-senior English law qualified associate level or equivalent in-house

Excellent transaction management skills

Comfortable taking day-to-day responsibility for drafting and negotiating documents, and liaising with clients and other lawyers

Worked on matters involving financial services entities

Familiar with the insurance sector’s regulatory regime

Team player, able to support and train others

Motivated, enthusiastic and able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment

Willingness to learn and develop new skills, and to progress your career

Client contact and strong business development and client engagement skills

Active role in business development

Familiarity with the insurance sector's regulatory regime· nice to have
