Trade Mark Attorney - NQ - 1 PQE

The role

The Intellectual Property (IP) group is seeking a junior Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join their expanding team. This role is for a candidate with newly qualified to one year PQE who will work closely with the Head of Trade Marks and other IP professionals on a diverse range of trade mark matters for clients across various sectors.

What you'll do

• Advise on registrability and cost-effective filing strategies
• Draft trade mark specifications
• Conduct trade mark searches, both high-level and comprehensive
• Co-ordinate the filing and prosecution of trade mark and design applications around the world
• Consider and report watch notices
• Handle objections and oppositions and prepare draft reports
• Prepare evidence and legal submissions to support registration, oppositions and cancellation actions, and other disputes
• Prepare and review co-existence and other agreements
• Instruct and co-ordinate the work of overseas attorneys
• Handle assignment or recordal projects
• Assist with trade mark audits
• Manage and report via client trackers
• Help with matter billing
• Help to strengthen and develop relationships with clients
