The role
The firm is seeking a Disputes Associate with 4-5 years of PQE to join their Contentious Trusts and Probate team, which is part of the Private Client & Tax Group. This role is for an ambitious individual to handle complex, high-value, and often cross-border disputes for a sophisticated client base.
What you'll do
Act on a broad range of disputes including challenges to the validity of wills, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, breach of trust and fiduciary duty claims, removal and replacement of executors and trustees, and complex cross-border succession disputes and offshore trust litigation
Manage your own caseload under supervision and assist partners on large, high-profile cases
Draft clear and persuasive pleadings, witness statements and correspondence
Liaise directly with clients and intermediaries, maintaining the highest standards of client care and discretion
Prepare for and attend mediations and court hearings
Support the team’s business development activities, including attending events and contributing to thought leadership
What we're looking for
