The role
The IP group is seeking a junior Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join its busy trade mark attorney team. This role is for a self-motivated individual with experience in handling oppositions, cancellations, and providing strategic advice, ideally with experience managing international portfolios.
What you'll do
Conduct and co-ordinate trade mark clearance searches
Advise on registrability and cost-effective filing strategies
File and prosecute trade mark and design applications around the world
Manage and report watch notices
Handle objections and oppositions
Prepare evidence and legal submissions to support registration, oppositions and cancellation actions, and other disputes
Prepare and negotiate co-existence and other agreements
Instruct, oversee and co-ordinate the work of overseas attorneys
Handle assignment or recordal projects
Provide ad-hoc advice notes
Manage cost estimates effectively and bill monthly
Help to strengthen and develop relationships with clients
