The role

This role is for an Associate within the Real Estate Litigation practice at Trowers & Hamlins. The position is ideal for a lawyer with 2+ years of relevant PQE seeking to handle complex commercial property disputes, landlord and tenant matters, and development-related disputes.

What you'll do

• Handle commercial landlord and tenant matters including 1954 Act, alienation, break rights, and dilapidations
• Manage development related disputes and provide strategic advice, particularly on rights to light, for developers and insurers
• Address disputes concerning property contracts and property-related insolvency
• Resolve other real property related disputes such as rights of way, adverse possession, and restrictive covenants
• Potentially be involved in residential related landlord and tenant matters
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and market intermediaries, focusing on the North-West market
• Participate in individual, team, and office-based business development initiatives
• Participate in firm-wide and departmental meetings, training sessions, and social events
• Contribute effectively to department and firm wide performance goals
• Ensure files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures
• Build and maintain effective client relationships
