Associate - Construction Disputes

The role

The firm is seeking an Associate with 2-5 years of PQE to join its national contentious construction team in London. This role will focus on advising a diverse range of clients, including public and private sector developers, on broad scope UK contentious construction matters and dispute resolution.

What you'll do

• Handle alternative dispute resolution, including adjudication, mediation, claims under the pre-action protocol for construction and engineering disputes, and litigation
• Engage in dispute avoidance and risk management
• Address contractual interpretation issues
• Handle professional negligence matters
• Participate in business development initiatives
• Collaborate with colleagues in other offices and practice areas
• Travel as required
• Participate in firm-wide and departmental training sessions
• Initiate, build and maintain effective client relationships
• Ensure files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures
