The role
Wedlake Bell is seeking a motivated Private Client Offshore Associate with 3-5 PQE to join their highly regarded, Legal 500 and Chambers ranked team. This permanent, full-time role involves providing technical legal and tax advice to international private clients on matters such as wealth structuring and succession planning.
What you'll do
- Provide a full range of E&W legal and UK tax advice to international private clients (UK resident and non-resident)
- Advise international clients either moving to or leaving the UK
- Project manage the structuring and re-structuring of assets
- Acquire and dispose of UK assets (often property)
- Draft Wills, trust deeds, and associated documents
- Provide ancillary advice to clients to help implement their succession planning strategies
- Liaise with advisers in other jurisdictions
- Work closely with colleagues in the PC Onshore and Disputes teams
- Act as the day-to-day contact for advising clients on ongoing or new matters
- Develop the practice by promoting the firm and its work, both to existing and potential clients
What we're looking for
3-5 years PQE advising on private client matters
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
Strong experience working in an offshore private client practice working on international or cross-border matters with HNW/UHNW international clients
Strong academic history with the ability to "think outside the box" and analyse
A high level of professionalism and integrity
Strong client relationship and business-development skills
STEP qualified (or willing to undertake STEP qualification)· nice to have
