The role
Orrick is seeking a Technology Transactions Associate with 2+ years of experience to join its Technology practice in Los Angeles. This role involves advising life sciences and tech companies on IP strategies and key agreements.
What you'll do
- Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements for companies at any stage of their life cycle
- Work closely with technology companies to provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning
- Advise clients on corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, licensing agreements and aspects of product research, development and commercialization in both the life sciences and general technology sectors
- Assist in navigating IP and technology aspects of complex M&A transactions, public offerings and venture capital financings
- Conduct research and analysis on diverse technologies, including AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, edtech, renewable energy, AR/VR, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and digital health
What we're looking for

JD is required
Admission to the state bar of the office in which the candidate would be located
