The role
Wilson Sonsini is seeking a mid-level to senior Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate with 3+ years of PQE to join their Technology practice group. This role will focus on cyber incident response, crisis management, and regulatory defense for leading technology companies, advising on complex privacy and cybersecurity issues.
What you'll do
- Advise companies as they confront cybersecurity incidents and other complex privacy and cybersecurity issues
- Represent clients in connection with investigations related to cybersecurity, AI, and privacy
- Provide counseling on best practices and regulatory compliance
- Provide cybersecurity expertise to companies engaging in technology and corporate transactions
- Advise cybersecurity companies on legal compliance related to security research and threat intelligence activities
What we're looking for
Three or more years of relevant experience with incident response, cybersecurity investigations, cybersecurity counseling within the private sector, or cybersecurity-facing work within a government agency
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Superior academic credentials
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Relevant cybersecurity and privacy experience within state or federal government agencies is valued
