Key requirements

The role
Latham & Watkins is seeking a US Associate for its Corporate Healthcare Regulatory practice. This role is for an experienced lawyer with 3+ years of PQE in Health Law and Regulatory matters, based in Boston, Chicago, or Los Angeles.
What you'll do
- Advise healthcare and life sciences companies, digital health and technology providers, private equity, investment banks, venture capital firms, and other industry stakeholders
- Advise on regulatory counseling, fraud and abuse compliance, reimbursement and related matters, data, privacy, and security, licensure, accreditation, quality management, controlled substances regulation
- Advise on the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions in the sector
- Assess company regulatory profiles, calibrating diligence to identify the most important areas of risk
- Coordinate with corporate team and clients to achieve the right result
- Negotiate and structure service agreements, operating, technology, and other contractual agreements with providers, payors, manufacturers, distributors, vendors, and suppliers
What we're looking for
3+ years of healthcare regulatory experience
Experience in reimbursement (including reimbursement compliance and coding, coverage and payment for novel products and services)
Experience in transactional due diligence, deal documentation, and negotiation (emerging company, private equity, M&A, capital markets, etc.)
Outstanding analytical and writing skills
