Associate/Senior Associate - Employment at Mills & Reeve

The role

Mills & Reeve is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate for their Tier 1 ranked Employment practice in Norwich. This role is ideal for an ambitious employment lawyer looking to advise leading commercial and public sector clients, primarily employers, on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

What you'll do

Advise SMEs, mid-market firms, and global organisations
Support regional education and government clients
Handle both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
Get involved in business development for the Norwich practice

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor with up to 3 years PQE (associate) or up to 6 years PQE (senior associate)

Strong drafting skills

Strong presentation skills

Strong client relationship skills

Enthusiasm for employment law

Team collaboration skills

Self-starting ability

Common sense and initiative

Ability to work as a team-player on complex matters

Very good time and documentation management skills

Keen attention to detail

Ability to build very good relationships with clients, potential clients and multipliers

Very good research skills

Ability to use online information sources

Excellent interpersonal skills

Team skills including ability to work with others, influence and persuade

Experience supporting corporate transactions· nice to have

Providing employment law support to corporate transactions including drafting contracts, settlement agreements and undertaking due diligence· nice to have
