The role
Hogan Lovells is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences Litigation Associate for its Intellectual Property practice. The role is for associates with a minimum of three years of experience in complex patent litigation involving life sciences, medical devices, and pharmaceutical technologies. This position will focus on cutting-edge matters for innovative clients in these industries.
What you'll do
- Work on sophisticated life sciences patent disputes before federal courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
- Collaborate with a highly regarded team representing leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
What we're looking for
Minimum of three years of experience in complex patent litigation matters involving life sciences, medical devices, and/or pharmaceutical technologies
Experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation and strategic dispute counseling
Undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
Experience taking and defending depositions
Experience working closely with technical and expert witnesses
Experience managing complex litigation matters
A commitment to excellence and exceptional client service
Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Member of the Bar in the United States
Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), or eligibility to obtain such registration· nice to have
