Associate/Experienced Lawyer - Dispute Resolution & Litigation (Administrative Law) at Maddocks

The role

An experienced Lawyer/Associate or Senior Associate is sought for the Administrative Law team at a leading Australian law firm in Melbourne. This role will focus on merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency, working alongside Partners Mark Henry and Angela Barac, and involves assisting in the supervision of a high-performing practice.

What you'll do

Finalise litigation strategies and statements of issues
Conduct directions hearings and case conferences
Manage substantive hearings
Undertake solicitor advocacy at hearings and finalise briefs to Counsel
Undertake complex statutory interpretation

What we're looking for

At least 3 - 4+ years PQE

Experience in government advisory work and litigation

Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise

Experience mentoring team members

Excellent communication skills

Collegiate approach

Legally permitted to work in Australia
