The role

We are seeking an experienced Construction lawyer (Associate, Senior Associate, or Director level) with 4+ PQE to join our Birmingham team. This role is for a lawyer with a strong background in contentious or non-contentious Construction & Engineering law, who possesses a commercial attitude and is keen to develop their career within a global law firm.

What you'll do

Provide top rate service to clients
Get involved in a varied workload with plenty of scope for direct client contact
Work on a diverse workload in a range of different sectors including engineering plant, process plant in manufacturing and the built infrastructure environment
Work on a combination of contentious and non-contentious matters
Work on a range of different infrastructure projects

What we're looking for

4+ PQE

Strong track record in Construction & Engineering law

Ability to deliver high-quality work

Ability and enthusiasm to take initiative

Ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients, potential clients and advisers

Coming from a well-recognised practice

Thrive in a collaborative team environment

Experience with contentious or non-contentious aspects of Construction & Engineering law

Commercial attitude

Confident and proactive approach

Good people skills

Ability to work as a team player

Interest in business development
