Key requirements
Minimum 5 years PQE within Family law matters Experience in parenting and children's matters including complex parenting matters Experience in financial settlements including all aspects of property settlement and maintenance cases Experience in binding financial agreements, superannuation agreements and maintenance agreements
The role
Lavan is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Family lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE to join their Family & Private Clients team. This role involves working within a three-partner practice on a broad range of complex family law matters, including divorce, property settlement, and parenting arrangements.
What you'll do
- Undertake divorce matters
- Undertake property settlement matters
- Undertake parenting arrangement matters
- Undertake spousal maintenance matters
- Undertake enforcement proceedings
- Undertake dispute resolution matters
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships
- Collaborate with others to deliver desired outcomes
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years PQE within Family law matters
Experience in parenting and children's matters including complex parenting matters
Experience in financial settlements including all aspects of property settlement and maintenance cases
Experience in binding financial agreements, superannuation agreements and maintenance agreements
Experience in divorce and nullity
Experience in child support and child maintenance
Experience in non-court based services, such as mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes
Interest in business development and attending events
A desire to learn and continuously improve
Strong attention to detail and technical skills
Strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team
