Senior Associate (Corporate Commercial)

The role

Clyde & Co is seeking a Senior Associate (Corporate Commercial) with 5+ years of experience in M&A to join their Sydney team. This role will involve working on a variety of corporate transactional, commercial, and insurance regulatory matters, collaborating with international colleagues on cross-jurisdictional matters.

What you'll do

• Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents and providing advice on areas of legal risk for clients
• Supporting the project management of transactions to ensure that key deadlines are met
• Working closely with other legal teams across the firm to deliver an integrated service to clients
• Working closely with other advisers on transactions (eg: tax)
• Managing due diligence processes
• Working with corporate teams across the world on transactions and regulatory approval processes
• Advising clients on corporate governance, regulatory and compliance issues
• Managing and building external client relationships
• Assisting with business development activities for key existing clients and new clients
• Mentoring junior associates in the team
• Assisting with providing training to junior associates both in the team and across the firm
