Senior Associate/ Special Counsel (Corporate Commercial)

The role

This is an opportunity for a corporate lawyer with 5-10 years of PQE to join Clyde & Co's corporate team in Australia. The role will focus on corporate transactional, commercial, insurance regulatory matters, and will involve working with senior partners on cross-jurisdictional transactions.

What you'll do

• Draft and negotiate key transaction documents
• Provide advice on areas of legal risk for clients
• Project manage transactions to ensure key deadlines are met
• Work closely with other legal teams across the firm to deliver an integrated service to clients
• Work closely with other advisers on transactions (eg: tax)
• Manage due diligence processes
• Work with corporate teams across the world on transactions and regulatory approval processes
• Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory and compliance issues
• Manage and build external client relationships
• Assist with business development activities for key existing clients and new clients
• Mentor junior associates in the team
• Assist with providing training to junior associates both in the team and across the firm
