Senior Attorney - Litigation (Class Action) at DLA Piper

The role

DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Attorney for its Litigation group, specializing in Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions. This role is for attorneys with 6+ years of experience and will focus on class action matters. The position is open to various US office locations, with a preference for candidates based in the New York metropolitan area.

What you'll do

Drafting briefs, motions and memoranda
Reviewing and drafting discovery responses
Analysis of discovery to inform case strategy and motion drafting
Prepare deposition outlines

What we're looking for

JD degree

Minimum of 6 years of experience

Experience drafting litigation documents, such as motions to dismiss, written discovery and summary judgment motions

Admission in the bar for the jurisdiction in which you are applying

Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties

Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner

Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product

Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required

Foster positive work relationships

Comply with all firm policies and practices

Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in virtual conference calls, and participating in meetings as needed

Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned
