Key requirements
Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying Minimum of 8 years’ experience in M&A post-closing indemnity disputes and/or representations and warranty insurance disputes Experience with M&A transaction documentation and damages calculations Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The role
DLA Piper is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with 8+ years of experience in M&A-related disputes and transactional documentation. This role supports the firm's Litigation group in its Atlanta, New York, or Raleigh offices.
What you'll do
- Communicate with clients
- Supervise associates
- Collaborate with experts
- Assist with fact development and depositions
- Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
- Develop case strategy
What we're looking for
Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in M&A post-closing indemnity disputes and/or representations and warranty insurance disputes
Experience with M&A transaction documentation and damages calculations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong project management skills
Attention to detail
Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred
