Litigation Senior Associate at WilmerHale

The role

WilmerHale is seeking an attorney with four to six years of post-JD experience to join their practice group in Boston, Denver, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington, DC. The role requires strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with a focus on managing significant discovery processes and handling court proceedings.

What you'll do

Draft briefs in district and appellate courts
Manage large and significant discovery processes including massive document productions
Lead teams
Participate in taking/defending depositions
Engage in motion practice
Handle negotiations
Meet and confer with opposing counsel

What we're looking for

Four to six years of post-JD experience

Exceptional writing, analytical and legal research skills

Experience drafting briefs in district and appellate courts

Experience managing large and significant discovery processes including massive document productions, leading teams, involvement in taking/defending depositions, and motion practice

Talented strategic thinker

Demonstrated strong work ethic

State court experience

Ability to handle negotiations, meeting and conferring with opposing counsel

Juris Doctor

Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based

Excellent writing skills

Strong analytical skills

Willingness to positively contribute to a collaborative work environment

Prior law firm experience· nice to have
