The role
Winston Taylor seeks a Senior Associate for its Financial Restructuring Practice Group in Chicago. The role is for experienced lawyers with 6+ years of experience in restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and complex business reorganizations.
What you'll do
- Work on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructurings for institutional and private credit lenders and large public and private companies across a range of industries
- Negotiate and draft loan documents
- Exercise remedies
- Draft core restructuring documents and pleadings
- Draft plans of reorganization
- Draft restructuring support agreements
- Draft first-day motions
- Draft other chapter 11 filings
What we're looking for
6+ years of experience with restructuring matters
Experience with out-of-court restructurings and workouts
Experience with complex business reorganizations (Chapter 11)
Experience representing lenders and debtors
Experience negotiating and drafting loan documents
Experience exercising remedies
Experience drafting core restructuring documents and pleadings
Experience drafting plans of reorganization
Experience drafting restructuring support agreements
Experience drafting first-day motions
Experience drafting other chapter 11 filings
Excellent academic credentials
Strong organization, analytical, writing, and verbal skills
Admitted to the state bar of their preferred office location
