Private Equity M&A (Asset Management) - Mid-Level/Senior Associate at Goodwin

The role

Goodwin is seeking a qualified associate with 3+ years of PQE to join their Private Equity Group. This role is for an individual with strong experience in asset management M&A, specifically GP stakes transactions, and a broad background in corporate and transactional matters. The ideal candidate is proactive with excellent business sense and communication skills, capable of managing client and counsel relationships.

What we're looking for

3+ years of PQE

Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in teams

Demonstrated experience independently managing components of transactions

Strong experience in asset management M&A

Broad background in corporate and transactional matters

Experience in mergers and acquisitions

Experience in leveraged recapitalizations

Experience in growth equity and venture capital transactions and exits

Experience in equity compensation

Proactive attitude

Strong business sense

Stellar communication skills

Ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships

Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) in the resident office’s location

Particular focus on GP stakes transactions preferred· nice to have
