The role
Cooley seeks a Capital Markets (Securities) associate with 2-7 years of PQE for its San Diego office. This role will focus on representing companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, particularly within the technology, consumer/retail, and life sciences sectors, and advising public companies on governance and compliance matters.
What you'll do
- Represent companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
- Represent public companies in a wide variety of matters including corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
- Manage client relationships
- Handle the day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of a variety of clients with sophisticated needs
What we're looking for
2-7 years of capital markets and public securities experience
Experience representing companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
Focus on the technology, consumer/retail and life sciences sectors
Experience representing public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
Experience managing client relationships and handling day-to-day demands and work flow requirements
Worked in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
