The role
Cooley seeks a Capital Markets (Securities) associate with 2-7 years of PQE for its Los Angeles office. This role will focus on representing companies and underwriters in public securities offerings, advising public companies on corporate governance and compliance, and managing client relationships.
What you'll do
- Represent companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings
- Represent public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
- Manage client relationships and handle day-to-day demands and workflow requirements
What we're looking for
2-7 years of capital markets and public securities experience
Experience representing companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions
Experience with a focus on the technology, consumer/retail and life sciences sectors
Experience representing public companies in corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance
Experience managing client relationships and handling day-to-day demands and workflow requirements
Experience in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
