The role
Cooley seeks a 3rd-6th year associate with at least three years of experience in corporate law to join its private companies team in Washington, DC or Reston, Virginia. This role focuses on advising disruptive, venture-backed companies and their investors on general corporate matters, financings, and liquidity events.
What we're looking for
3-6 years of experience
At least three years of experience involving early-stage and growth-stage companies
Experience counseling and advising venture-backed companies on general corporate matters through their growth cycle
Experience with venture capital financings and liquidity events
Experience working in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
Deep experience counseling and advising venture-backed companies on general corporate matters through their growth cycle, including venture capital financings and liquidity events· nice to have
