The role
Sidley Austin LLP seeks a transactional associate with 3+ PQE to join its Energy, Transportation & Infrastructure practice. This role will focus on representing sponsors, developers, investors, and financial institutions in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions within the U.S. renewables and power sector.
What you'll do
- Represent sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions
- Negotiate material project agreements
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience
Experience in project finance and tax equity transactions in the U.S. renewables and power sector
Energy project development experience, including negotiation of material project agreements (e.g., PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.)
Team players with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage complex transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with client interaction
Admitted to practice law in the local jurisdiction
Prior law firm experience
