The role
Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a transactional associate with 3+ years of PQE to join its Energy, Transportation & Infrastructure practice in its New York, DC, Los Angeles, or Houston offices. This role will represent sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions.
What you'll do
- Represent sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and other market participants in renewable and energy transition finance and M&A transactions
- Negotiate material project agreements (e.g., PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.)
What we're looking for
3+ years of PQE
Admitted to practice law in the local jurisdiction
Prior law firm experience required
Experience in project finance and tax equity transactions in the U.S. renewables and power sector
Energy project development experience, including negotiation of material project agreements (e.g., PPA, EPC, O&M, etc.)
Team players with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage complex transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with client interaction
