Energy & Infrastructure Finance – Associate at Sidley Austin

The role

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a motivated associate with 3+ PQE to join its Energy & Infrastructure Finance practice in New York, Washington DC, or Houston. The role focuses on debt finance transactions, particularly project finance and energy transition matters for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates will have experience representing lenders, sponsors, and/or developers in complex financing arrangements.

What you'll do

Supervising junior associates
Working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience

Experience representing lenders, sponsors, and/or developers in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of complex financing arrangements

Experience with syndicated or leveraged finance transactions

Experience managing transaction workflows, including real property, UCC, and security interest matters

Top academic credentials

Strong analytical and drafting skills

Excellent client-relations abilities

Admitted or eligible for admission in the jurisdiction corresponding to their office of interest

Familiarity with renewable energy projects and related tax credit structures· nice to have

Project finance experience, including exposure to construction and term financing, tax equity, and other structured finance arrangements in the energy and infrastructure sectors· nice to have
