The role
Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld seeks a Corporate Counsel with 3+ years of PQE to join its M&A practice in New York. The role focuses on advising clients on international trade controls in corporate transactions.
What you'll do
- Advise clients on compliance with international trade controls in corporate transactions
- Conduct due diligence to identify risks related to sanctions, import/export control, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, and CFIUS
- Negotiate trade-related provisions in corporate transactions
- Counsel clients navigating international trade issues involving U.S. and Japanese law
- Conduct business development activities involving United States, Japan, and Asia-Pacific region markets
What we're looking for
