CMS is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate for its Hong Kong office. This role is for a lawyer experienced in intellectual property matters, focusing on trademark clearance, filing, portfolio management, enforcement, disputes, and commercialization.
What you'll do
- Conduct trademark clearance, filing, prosecution and portfolio management
- Handle trademark oppositions, invalidations, revocation actions and hearings
- Manage IP enforcement and anti-counterfeiting matters
- Address copyright, design and domain name matters
- Engage in IP disputes and litigation
- Negotiate commercialization, licensing and assignment arrangements
- Coordinate regional and international IP portfolios
What we're looking for
Hong Kong qualified solicitor or eligible for admission in Hong Kong
Practical experience in intellectual property
Comfortable managing a varied caseload
Strong academic credentials
Experience in a reputable law firm
Excellent English drafting and communication skills
Working proficiency in Chinese, including both Mandarin and Cantonese
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines matters
Commercially minded and client-focused approach
