The role

Shoosmiths is seeking a Paralegal for their Litigation Services department in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. This entry-level role focuses on debt recovery and litigation services for clients, requiring strong customer service and negotiation skills.

What you'll do

• Manage inbound and outbound calls to a FCA standard which ensures the best outcome for our customers are achieved
• Negotiate settlement of matters
• Manage litigation and collections cycles of assigned cases
• Manage files within the case management system to ensure that our client’s cases are progressed timely and accurately
• Record customers information accurately to our case management system
• Update clients on changes
• Take personal responsibility for compliance with all relevant client and internal Service Level Agreements
• Ensure that our clients’ accounts are successfully managed through the court process to ensure a positive outcome for our clients
• Make enforcement decisions or recommendations on behalf of our clients
• Enforce court judgements
• Remain professional and polite at all times
