Paralegal or Junior Lawyer

The role

Kennedys is seeking a Paralegal or Junior Lawyer with 1+ years of experience to join their Insurance and Litigation practice in Dubai. This role will support lawyers in contentious insurance matters across the Middle East.

What you'll do

• Provide assistance with the running of a busy caseload subject to supervision
• Assist clients in connection with casework undertaken by the team
• Assist with client registration and due diligence procedures
• Carry out conflict searches and open new matters on firm systems
• Maintain matter lists and liaise with lawyers and partners regarding updates
• Co-ordinate preparation of bundles, indices and exhibits
• Undertake legal and commercial research
• Assist with business development activities
• Support the efficient running of the team through collaboration with partners, fee earners and support staff
• Comply with the firm's Quality Procedures and Information Security requirements
• Maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients and assist in creating and developing the professional reputation of the office
• Create and maintain professional and positive relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
• Work in line with the Firm's Contribution Areas which are specific to the role and level
• Maintain trust and confidentiality at all times
• Undertake any specific training required by the Risk & Compliance Department, HR Department or Partners of the Firm
• Operate safely and considerately in the workplace
