The role
TLT is seeking a Contract Paralegal for their Financial Services Disputes team in Bristol. This role will support litigation activities, focusing on investigating and analysing claims, and handling customer complaints within the financial services sector.
What you'll do
- Investigate and analyse claims
- Prepare draft advices
- Support the handling of customer complaints
- Investigate issues and review relevant documentation for complaints
- Prepare clear, accurate responses to customer complaints in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Assist solicitors with preparing trial bundles
- Instruct experts
- Carry out initial review of expert reports
- Draft correspondence
- Review discovery documents received from other parties
- Manage key dates
- Assist with recording, reporting on and analysing Management Information
- Assist with billing
What we're looking for
Experience of complaints handling, ideally within financial services
Ability to investigate, assess and respond to customer complaints in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility
Good knowledge of Word and Outlook
Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Interwoven· nice to have
Proficient Excel skills (with basic and vlookup formulas, pivot tables, pivot charts & managing large spreadsheets)· nice to have
Ability to export data to other spreadsheets and charts efficiently· nice to have
Ability to put together easy-to-read analysis· nice to have
