Associate, Project Development and Finance

The role

White & Case is seeking a mid-level Associate with 3-5 years of PQE for its Project Development and Finance practice in Singapore. This role focuses on advising clients on the legal and financial aspects of large-scale infrastructure and development projects, particularly within the energy sector.

What you'll do

• Advise on the development, structuring and delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on oil and gas, LNG, petrochemicals and renewable projects
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of project and commercial agreements that are commonly used in upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas projects
• Draft joint venture agreements and development agreements and working with the M&A team on large scale investments in the energy sector
• Advise developers, sponsors and lenders on project development and project financing considerations
• Support cross-border project development and project finance transactions
• Identify, assess and communicate legal, commercial and execution risks, providing clear and pragmatic advice to clients
• Manage multiple workstreams, prepare high-quality transaction documentation and drive matters forward within demanding deadlines
• Coordinate with colleagues across White & Case’s global network and work effectively with clients, counterparties, technical advisers and other external parties
• Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers and trainees, including through effective delegation, clear instructions and review of work product to pro-mote high-quality delivery and professional development
