Pre-Litigated Lead Paralegal at DWF

The role

DWF is seeking a Pre-Litigated Lead Paralegal for its Major Injury & Casualty Team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal with at least six months of prior experience in Scottish law, focusing on handling pre-litigated claims from inception to resolution for insurers and corporations.

What you'll do

Assist fee earners on files
Support qualified individuals on a diverse caseload for insurers pre-litigated claims from inception to resolution
Manage a caseload of pre-litigated claims from instruction to settlement
Investigate liability and gather evidence
Liaise with clients, insurers, and third parties
Negotiate settlements and calculate damages
Ensure compliance with deadlines and pre-action protocols

What we're looking for

Previous Paralegal experience of 6+ months

Previous Scotland law experience

Strong communication skills

High attention to detail

Experience of working in a fast paced environment with a volume of claims

Experience in Fraud

Experience in Motor

Experience in Road Traffic Accidents (RTA)

Experience in Personal Injury

Experience in Serious Injury

Experience in Large Loss

Experience in Complex Loss

Experience in Catastrophic Loss
