The role
JFK Law is seeking a Summer Student for 2027 in their Toronto office. This role is for a second-year law student interested in Aboriginal Law, supporting associates in litigation and regulatory matters for Indigenous clients, focusing on Aboriginal and Treaty Rights, consultation, and administrative law.
What you'll do
- Assist the firm’s Associates to represent our First Nations clients in litigation and regulatory matters
- Performing day-to-day file management
- Conducting research
- Drafting of legal documents
- Attending on motions, trials, and administrative proceedings
- Drafting correspondence
- Drafting pleadings and application
- Drafting affidavits
- Drafting trial preparation
