Bilingual Associate - Private Client

The role

Russell-Cooke is seeking a Bilingual Associate for its Private Client team in Putney, London. This role is for a Spanish-qualified lawyer with at least 2 years of PQE, focusing on a broad range of private client matters, including cross-border work.

What you'll do

• Proactively conduct own caseload under line management and with support
• Focus on business development including networking, article writing, and cross-departmental relationship building
• Develop referrer relationships such as Accountants and Wealth managers
• Manage finances, including time recording and billing to reach annual targets
• Provide a high-quality service to all clients
• Independently develop and maintain good client relationship skills
• Gain clients’ confidence and that of other professionals
• Receive requests for advice from current and potential clients
• Decide on the most appropriate responses to requests for advice
• Establish a plan to solve a client’s problems
• Maintain Spanish qualification and relevant annual training
• Support internal procedures and systems including file and financial management
• Participate in team meetings
• Develop management skills by supervising junior fee earners, especially trainees
• Attend internal training and external training as and when required
• Read journals and attend courses as part of continuing professional development
• Share knowledge
• Maintain high standards of professional conduct
• Generate adequate practice income
