Senior Solicitor / Associate - Litigation at Duncan Cotterill

The role

Duncan Cotterill is seeking a Senior Solicitor / Associate with 3+ years of PQE in Litigation for their Blenheim office. This role is for an experienced civil litigator who wants direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility within a partner-led team, focusing on relationship property and complex civil litigation.

What you'll do

Work directly with clients
Manage own matters with partner supervision
Appear in court
Support negotiations and mediations
Develop advocacy and dispute resolution skills

What we're looking for

Minimum of 3 years' PQE

Holds or is eligible to hold a New Zealand practising certificate

Litigation experience, ideally gained in private practice

Experience in relationship property matters

Exposure to civil litigation and dispute resolution work

Court experience or a desire to further develop advocacy skills

Strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills

Sound judgement and a practical, client-focused approach
